Econo Lodge Selma - Smithfield

The rooms were clean and the front desk attendant was extremely nice. My stay was more pleasant then I expected

We stopped here on our way back home from FL to sleep for the night. It was unplanned and the hotel was a last minute choice. Counter person was very friendly and helpful. We asked for a first floor room which we got with no issues. The building is older, but our room was clean and comfortable.

The stay was fine. Its not a bad place. There's not breakfast, but there is coffee. I didnt really look into the services. The price was average really for same night, everywhere was right around the same, but some had jet tubs for 15-20 more. The most notable part about this place for me, is if you dont have your card on you, or you've lost and haven't replaced it due to time constraints, this place takes tap to pay. Ill reiterate for those like me. They take tap to pay late at night, unlike alot of places in the area.

Check in was a breeze and overall satisfaction was good. The only drawback we had was the heavy small of pot coming through our bathroom vent. We notified the front desk and they promptly moved us to another room. We also invested in an electric room freshener that took care of any further problems. I'm not going to let some partiers ruin our stay or make this a bad review. The front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our stay overall was very good and affordable for the time of year.

For just a quick overnight stay, the room was clean and warm. The beds were excellent. Another blanket was needed. The freezer in the mini-fridge had not been defrosted in a yr. and was 1/3 ice. The woman at check-in was extremely nice. The guy in the morning was unfriendly and didn’t know who the owner was. I do not believe that. The location off I95 is excellent. What annoyed me was they did not have breakfast. This is the only econolodge without breakfast. In other words, the owner is cheap. He did not even have fruit or free bottled water.

Bed was comfortable, good shower, great service, and great location. A couple parts of the room were a bit dirty. Something on the wall- possibly black mold or something splattered. But we go to a lot of hotels and it was fine overall.

The night auditor is pleasant and kind. She really made me feel at home. A great port in the storm and she loved my cats! The rooms are clean and well kept we will stay there again. Especially for such reasonable rates!

This place was so nice, it's a great memory. A stop over on the way to Pa from Florida and back. The room was clean and bright, the mattress was so perfect, and the breakfast layout was wonderfully surprising. So many options. This was almost 20 yrs ago. And that's how good it was, I remember after all these years. I highly recommend.
